Reckonings by Cynthia Eden >> REVIEW

Emalie’s Review:

~ Book provided by author in exchange for my honest opinion

I feel like all I ever review on this blog are books by Cynthia Eden. Whoopsie. 😉 I hope to change that in the future.

Anyway, on to the book.

Reckoning is the fourth book in the Battling McGuire Boys-series and can be read as a standalone without any problems. It was once again an entertaining book by Cynthia Eden. The story and characters were like always nice, BUT… I kind of feel like all the romantic suspense books by Cynthia Eden are the same at the moment and kind of blend together. Am I the only one that feels that way? I’m really glad that her next book will be a paranormal romance to shake things up a little bit. Nonetheless I still enjoy everything that was written by Miss Eden, so I’m done complaining and let it up to you to decide yourself.

Synopsis:

New town, new name…more trouble!

Dr. Jamie Myers has tried outrunning her past, but now someone is stalking her, leaving her deadly messages. Once, she’d trusted the wrong man. So how can she rely on Davis McGuire, the fiercely handsome ex-SEAL she’s hired as a bodyguard? And how can she ignore the way his hands-on attention excites her?

One of McGuire Securities’ best, Davis wants to protect the sexy doc 24/7 and play by the rules. But as Jamie’s stalker grows bolder, Davis’s desire grows stronger. Soon he’s breaking all his rules so he can uncover Jamie’s secrets in order to protect her…and discover the key to her heart.
